My sisters are awesome!

I had the unexpected pleasure of seeing my three sisters, my niece Natalie, and two of my brothers-in-law over the past weekend. We had a fun-filled visit with late nights, lots of laughter, and too much cider.

I went to my first dueling piano/karaoke bar. It was loud, but entertaining. One of my sisters even sang. I loved her choice, Maggie May, by Rod Stewart. An oldie, but a goodie. The last dog my husband and I had was named Maggie. She passed in 2006, and until recently, no one in our family has wanted another dog. Now, I think my husband would like to get one, but I figure instead of getting a puppy for our mid-life crisis, we got a grandson. (LOL)

I also got to try Insomnia Cookies. Yes, we went later in the evening. It was packed. If you haven’t tried them and get the opportunity to get a cookie, I would suggest the Oatmeal, Chocolate Chip with Walnuts. It was warm and yummy!

I was originally going to OKC to work on a mosaic window I started back in November. I am using the word “started” lightly here since I don’t even have one piece of glass glued down. I am still trying to figure out what type of design I want to put on it. I was going to create a tree with colorful leaves blowing across the glass, but at this point, I may just go Jackson Pollock and glue random pieces all over it.

When I planned the trip, I had no idea my sister was also going to OKC with her family. It was a perfect coincidence. There was no way I could lock myself inside and work on a project. Due to my lack of progress, I will have to plan another trip. Let’s hope for another perfect coincidence! I love hanging out with my family! Here’s the crew from the piano bar! And one of Maggie – even with the glare, you can see she was gorgeous. Just a big fluffy ball.
